i didn't bring my a camera... the thought of being lenjan-ed by the army made me whisk away the idea of photographing myself in the most horrible look... without makeup n tons of sunblock...
but i managed to get a few pictures by quickly squeezing myself whenever anybody starts to click their camera... so here's some of the pictures... enjoy!!!

impak maksima?.. why 'impak maksima' @ 'maximum impact'... it's actually a song by the kru brothers in their previous album 'krujaan' if i'm not mistaken... on 12 march 2005 right after work, after going back home, after taking a quick shower, dressing up n make ups... i went to klcc to meet my friends... haiza, raihan n afza... friends who were my classmates during my diploma years... it was a very small gathering n haiza wanted to take the f1 race car n card board racers (sorry don't know their name) pictures so much...
we ate n chat... took pictures of course... late that evening we went our separate way... raihan n haiza to pwtc for matta... afza home... me carrefour wangsa maju to meet me sister n her bf... i need to buy a table fan (i'm really sure it's going to end up on the floor), a rack for my magazines (15 months collection of magazines), food n anything catchy during my hunt  ... surprise surprise i ended my hunt with a mini bar in my trolley... it means no pda this month... well insya allah next month can...

mari menjahit...

yaaa... mari menjahit...
i started to do serious sewing since sekolah menengah... at school, the girls were given the task to sew an apron each... i think that was form 2... for pmr, the task was to produce a quilted bag with patchwork... i made mine a yellow bag with a motive of flowers in a vase for patchwork... the teacher gave me a compliment... i knew i got this talent from mak... mak have been sewing since i could remember... she mainly takes baju kurung n occasionally blouses, dresses, curtains, etc that are simple to sew...
all my baju kurung were sewed by mak... i was taught to sembat (a hand sewn method to keep the ends/joints of the fabric neat) during sekolah menengah... and other small sewings (pockets, hooks, buttons, etc)... i don't know why mak never teaches my sisters to sew... maybe they are so lazy
actually rara n bubul can do very simple sewing... but rara is the creative one... she made small bags with beads decoration... she even produced a number of small teddies that looks like cubic bear figurines... i think she got it from the gempak (http://www.gempakstarz.com) magazine...

the mee kari laksa crave

i crave for mee kari laksa during a trip balik kg... a special mee kari recipe that looks like the ordinary mee kari and tastes like laksa johor...
i said to rara... "tingin lak makan mee kari laksa... aku rasa kalo mintak kat mak nih musti dgn bangganya masak utk aku..."
"heee... perasannya..." said rara slightly disgusted...
so i told mak about the crave... like usual... mak who really loves cooking said ok... she won't let any for her daughters dying of crave... mak n i decided to go the pasar to buy bahan² for the mee kari laksa the next morning... but i woke up late (watched tv n slept late)... 8-9am is the best time for pasar where u can get freshest bahan²... we left home a few minutes before noon... we managed to buy enough bahan² but the prawns... we substitute the prawns with kupang... the kupang seller pakcik told us his kupang tastes like prawns... yeah like we believe you
back at home i helped mak prepare the bahan²... something wild happened with the kopok ekor i bought from the pasar... while frying them, they started to explode... the explosion was massive (for keropok lekor) that mak n i were afraid to get near the kuali... mak went to the resque when she quickly covered the kuali with another kuali... i turned the gas off n let the explosion recede... the keropok turned up quite good actually... mak n i made a theory... they must be using tepung pulut so when we fry the heat builds up pressure inside the keropok while the outer layer of the keropok becomes garing hence the explosion occurs... ni la namanya keropok lekor pembunuh
i want the mee kari laksa to taste really good so i handed the special task to mak... to cook... the finished product came out excellante... as good as the 1st one i had years ago... jemput makan... yummm

abah bought rara a small cake with a shin chan figure on top... it made rara felt like a little child... maybe it reflects what abah's perceptition towards rara... before abah made the purchase, mak told him to buy rara a nice cake... a bigger one so the whole family could share and maybe a slice or two for our neighbour mak leha n pak usop (maybe not bcoz bubul will finish it in split seconds)... well, shin chan pun shin chan la... we know abah is out of money (and still refuse to get a job)...

we can't make it to majidee (umah arwah tok) on raya haji (missing the bus n arriving late) so today is the day to visit grandma (mak's stepmom), aunts, uncles n cousins... mak didn't rule out for everybody to wear baju kurung n i decided to wear t-shirt n jeans... yay!!! mak always chose to wear baju kurung bcoz she thinks that's the only look she can fit it... personally i believe mak looks really good in a suit of long sleeved blouse and pants... the one makciks prefer to wear... maybe i'll buy mak a suit for her birthday
